Our Story
Ferguson’s Energy Systems is a family owned business of 20 years, located in Leeds County. In 1990, we moved our young family to the country, into a very large farm house. It became evident soon after the move, we needed to find an inexpensive alternative heat source. This lead us in the direction of Pellet Stoves.
We liked the concept of the pellet stove, realizing however, that they were new to Ontario, and with few testimonials. We installed our first wood pellet stove, removed the old wood stove, along with the 6 cords of wood, all critters, and the mess! It didn’t take long for us to discover the true benefits of burning wood pellets, in fact, we had a 2nd wood pellet stove installed, replacing our oil furnace, by the end of that same winter. We were so fascinated with Wood Pellet Heating, the clean burn, low cost, and yet warm/consistent heat, and recognized an opportunity to allocate this to so many other families. The following year, Ferguson’s Energy Systems was created, Wood Pellet Stove Sales and Wood Pellet Sales And Delivery.
Over the past 20 years we have opened our home to many families interested in wood pellet heating, today our front door is still open, and we personally invite you to come in and explore the wood pellet concept, from Wood Pellet Stoves or Wood Pellet Inserts, Outdoor Wood Pellet Boilers / Furnaces, to Wood Pellet Barbecues/Smokers. |  | |
We are very excited and fortunate to have our children involved in our family business. Both boys have worked along side their father from a very young age, mastering the skill of stove installations, stove servicing/cleanings, and wood pellet deliveries. |

Our ambitions, dedication, and hard work have been driven by a dream, and that dream is now becoming a reality!
This past May, Krista, our daughter-in-law (to be) joined us in the office. Krista is the first to the phone, greeting our customers with a warm and friendly voice, taking pellet orders, setting up deliveries and answering questions. Having Krista at the office also allows us to offer a pellet pickup, demonstrate our three new products for sale, wood pellet stoves, outside wood pellet boilers and wood pellet barbeques, all year round!
